Raspberry Jalapeño Red Wine Sangria
Sweet meets heat in this one. Red wine, raspberry, a slice of jalapeño — the kind of sangria that wakes people up at a summer party.
What you'll need
- 1 bottle Tempranillo or Grenache
- ½ cup raspberry vodka
- ¼ cup triple sec
- ¼ cup simple syrup
- 1 pint fresh raspberries
- 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced, seeds removed for less heat
- 1 orange, sliced
- 2 cups ginger ale or club soda
- Ice
How to make it
- Slice the fruit and jalapeño. Big pieces are fine. Add everything to a large pitcher.
- Pour in the wine.
- Add the vodka, triple sec, and simple syrup.
- Let it sit at least 2 hours. Overnight is better — the fruit and jalapeño have more time to work into the wine.
- Fill a glass halfway with ice. Pour the sangria over it.
- Top with soda if you want it fizzy.
- Serve.
